PEARL HIGH SCHOOL ENSEMBLES
The Pearl High School Singers is the premier ensemble of the Pearl Choral Program, representing a rich tradition of artistry, scholarship, and excellence. This auditioned SATB ensemble (frequently performing divisi) is known for its refined tone, musical sensitivity, and commitment to high-level choral literature.
Pearl Singers has a distinguished performance history, including appearances at the MSACDA/MMEA State Conference (2009) and the ACDA Southern Division Conference in Savannah, GA (1992). In 2021, the ensemble was invited to perform for the memorial service of former Mississippi Governor William Winter, an event attended by former President Bill Clinton.
Their travel and performance record underscores their commitment to musical outreach and global connection. Recent tours include Orlando, Florida, where they earned First Place in their category, and international performances in Scotland and England, singing in St. George’s Tron (Glasgow), St. Giles’ Cathedral (Edinburgh), and in collaboration with the Waldegrave School in London. Looking ahead, Pearl Singers will perform at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City in May 2026.

The Pearl High School Women’s Chorus is an auditioned ensemble for treble voices in grades 9–12, known for its exceptional artistry, discipline, and tradition of excellence. With a performance history that spans district, state, regional, and national festivals, this ensemble consistently demonstrates high musical standards and expressive choral performance.
Women’s Chorus performs advanced SSAA repertoire, cultivating clarity of tone, unified ensemble sound, and confident musicianship. The ensemble has earned repeated Best-in-Class awards at the Riverland Choral Festival and is widely recognized for its refined musicality and strong choral leadership within the program.
In January 2025, the Women’s Chorus performed at the MSACDA/MMEA State Conference after being selected through blind audition — a distinction that affirms the ensemble’s reputation for artistry, excellence, and excellence on the most visible stages in Mississippi.
The Pearl High School Men’s Glee is comprised of male singers in grades 9–12 and is distinguished by its proud tradition of excellence in men’s choral music. With a history of high-level performances at district, state, regional, and national festivals, this ensemble has earned a strong reputation for artistry, power, and musical depth.
Men’s Glee performs advanced TTBB repertoire, focusing on tone, blend, and expressive ensemble singing. The ensemble has earned multiple Best-in-Class awards at the Riverland Choral Festival and is widely respected for its mature sound and stylistic refinement.

The Pearl High School Pirate Singers is our developing mixed choir, welcoming all students with a passion for singing—no audition required. This ensemble explores SAB repertoire while building strong fundamentals in vocal technique, ensemble blend, and music literacy.
Committed to musical growth and artistic excellence, the Pirate Singers represent Pearl with pride at the Riverland Choral Festival and the MHSAA State Performance Assessment, where they have earned Superior ratings. With a supportive community and high musical expectations, the Pirate Singers offer students a place to grow in skill, confidence, and connection through the shared joy of choral music.
The Pearl High School Chamber Singers is an elite auditioned ensemble comprised of the most advanced singers within the Pearl Singers program. This select group specializes in refined chamber literature, with a particular emphasis on music from the Renaissance period, demanding exceptional vocal control, blend, stylistic authenticity, and artistry.
With a legacy of excellence spanning district, state, regional, and national festivals, the Chamber Singers have consistently earned Superiors and are frequently recognized with Best-in-Class honors at the Riverland Choral Festival. Their commitment to historically informed performance, elevated musicianship, and intimate ensemble singing makes the Chamber Singers a distinguished pillar of the Pearl choral program.
Encore is an elite auditioned ensemble comprised of the most advanced female singers within the Pearl Singers program. Known for their refined artistry and expressive musicality, Encore specializes in advanced modern and contemporary treble repertoire, showcasing the power, versatility, and clarity of the treble voice.
Frequently invited to represent Pearl at community events and special performances, Encore serves as a musical ambassador both on campus and throughout the region. The ensemble has a distinguished performance record, consistently earning Superior ratings at district, state, regional, and national festivals, as well as multiple Best-in-Class honors at the Riverland Choral Festival.

The Pearl High School Sextet is a highly select auditioned ensemble drawn from the top vocal talent within Chamber Singers and Encore. Comprised of six of the most advanced and musically literate female singers in the program, the Sextet represents the pinnacle of treble artistry at Pearl High School.
Known for its demanding repertoire and exceptional precision, the ensemble performs some of the most challenging SSAA literature, frequently singing with only one voice on each part. Their work requires exceptional musicianship, independence, tone control, and ensemble awareness, resulting in performances marked by clarity, balance, and expressive depth.

The Pearl High School Quartet is a highly selective ensemble auditioned from the most advanced male singers within the Chamber Singers. Comprised of four of the program’s strongest and most musically literate tenors and basses, the Quartet represents the pinnacle of male vocal artistry at Pearl High School.
The ensemble is known for its mastery of challenging TTBB literature, including traditional barbershop style, often performed with only one singer per part. Such repertoire demands extraordinary independence, refined tuning, and exceptional ensemble awareness — all hallmarks of the group’s skill and dedication.
